Please check with the new version (1.3.6).

The problem is that you are using a different culture but that the settingsform initialisation depends on US culture.

This is the fix:

// Genreate the GMT offsets
for (double offset = -12; offset <= 13; offset++ )
cboUtcOffset.Items.Add(string.Format("{0:n}",offset));
// SHOULD BECOME THE FOLLOWING

// Genreate the GMT offsets
for (double offset = -12; offset <= 13; offset++ )
cboUtcOffset.Items.Add(string.Format(System.Globalisation.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture, "{0:n}", offset));

I find the same problem with version 1.3.6 and 1.3.5 - bug fixex. I don't see the problem with version 1.3 and 1.3.5. As soon as I try the "settings" item I get an error. I have dumped the details:

GMobileSync.exe
ArgumentOutOfRangeException
En fejlmeddelelse kan ikke vises, fordi en valgfri ressourcesamling, der indeholder fejlmeddelelsen, ikke blev fundet

ved System.Collections.ArrayList.Insert()
at ObjectCollection.Insert()
ved RareEdge.frmSettings.frmSettings_Load()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Form._SetVisibleNotify()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Control.set_Visible()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Form.ShowDialog()
ved RareEdge.frmMain.mnuSettings_Click()
ved System.Windows.Forms.MenuItem.OnClick()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Menu.ProcessMnuProc()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Form.WnProc()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Control._InternalWnProc()
ved Microsoft.AGL.Forms.EVL.EnterMainLoop()
ved System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run()
ved RareEdge.Program.Main()

Part of it is in Danish, but I hope it can be of any help anyway.

Thanks for a very interesting and useful program

I can confirm this issue on a HTC Touch (T-Mobile Branded) with WM6.
It is complaining about some source-assembly which cannot be found. And, the "Cannot add a recipient with an empty or null name to a recipient collection" still exists.
This is in version 1.3.5.34682.
I hope these issues are solved soon, because i do mis my GmobileSync!

same probleme with version 1.3.3, 1.3.5RC1, 1.3.6 on my HTC TOUCH CRUISE on WM6

I have install both 1.3.5 (fixed) and 1.3.6 in my HTC p3600 (Trinity) with WM5 and WM6, and I can't go to the preferences.

I think that this is an encode problem because I using WM(5 and 6) in Portuguese (Portugal).

Wm6 User (HTC s710),
1.3.6 still has the problem with accessing "settings".
  • From Denmark btw.

We no longer use UTC offset to deal with the timezone problem, instead, we set timezone directly. This problem will not happen again.
